What is 304 Stainless Steel? It is the most commonly used and versatile of stainless steel blends. In addition to its high durability, it is also resistant to corrosion and oxidation. The composition of the metal contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel. Compared to 316 Surgical Stainless Steel, the 304 blend is a bit more flexible for jewelry work. Please note: These are naturally a silver tone. They are not silver plated.
