A vitrail coating is similar to the more widely known AB coating. It gives that same metallic appearance but comes in a wider range of colors. Those colors are heat sealed by firing, unlike AB coatings. Vitrail coatings are generally only found on one half of the bead.

The metallic shine on these beads depends on how the light hits them and ranges in appearance from gold, to fuchsia and even green!
